Just started work on a platform game that has no name yet, just spent a couple of hours on it today and thought I'd make video updates of it's progress...
Just wondering are you using Darren template as a base. I ask because 1. the way he dies is the same 2. I bought it and then realized most of the stuff I could have done on my own
It was a great purchase but won't be buying any more templates. I guess what they say is true practice make prefect.
Nope, not using Darren's template. I use GS 9 hours a day Mon-Fri and occasional weekends.
I had a look at Darren's template and he doesn't die the same, in fact, I prefer Darren's haha. Gonna stick with mine though. Mine uses a recycled actor that changes it's rotation to the same as the character when he touches the bad guy, then it interpolates the X & Y to huge
Added a bad guy to the game now who strains out some eggs

Have you noticed any performance issues when you have the main character resize that big after it collides with something? Just curious, because I had an actor doing that in one of my games, and every time it did that, it would freeze GS, and if I tried it on my phone, it would freeze my phone. Took it out, and it stopped freezing. Just curious if you had any issues with that.
