We need a chat room...

it seems that everyone that's new to the forum always posts multiple things here. Is there a way we could get a chat room on the site? I think it would alleviate a lot of problems, albeit, create a plethora of new ones as well...

    An official GS chat room would be awesome. It would dramatically reduce the number of pointless forums topics and questions. lol

    a chat room is needed, you can say different things
    maybe the non GS section can shut down if we make a chat room

    A chatroom would be nice. Fellow developers can chat to each other much more easily, and problems can be solved much more quickly.

    I have to say I disagree. As with most chatrooms there will end up with multiple conversations going at the same time and only confuse everything. If people would search before posting it would reduce a lot of the repeat questions and if there is an issue needing a chat instead of the forum then there is Yahoo IM or Skype.

    Also a tip was posted a few days back if you are not finding anything with the sites search go to google and type this "YourSearchTerms site:gamesalad.com" That will normally get you good results if they exist.

    Problem I see is that on the forum when someone helps someone else then that post becomes a resource for others to use, chat conversations would be lost.

    It would work for simple stuff, and also when people ask about other thinkgs, look photoshop, etc.
    People don't search to much in the forum.

    Go to google and do tge same search and after the search term type site:gamesalad.com you will get better results.

    very true. Google works great. But the chatrooms are a great way to spread ideas.

    The search tools sucks. Chat would be better. I'm sure not alit of ppl wants to pay for help like some members offer. I think a chat is a great idea.

    The chat the magonicholas made is awesome. If you ever just want to TALK to devs just about random stuff or anything really, thats what we have been doing every day. its really fun. and there is a help section as well. SO EVERYONE TRY THE CHAT.
