How do I change Layers?

Hi, I've got a game where I need an actor to spawn another actor onto a different layer. Try as I might, I can't find how an actor can change layers in-game, or how I can spawn an actor onto a different layer. Can anyone help please?

as of version .9.2 actors can not change layers during gameplay, and you cannot spawn actors into a different layer than the current layer, you can only change positions within the current layer.

you could put the spawner on the layer you want the spawn to occur in...

yes, you could put a spawner in the separate layer that spawns when a game attribute is "XXX ", and have the other actor in the 1st layer instead of spawning when rule is true, change the game attribute which activates the spawner.
