There is a new app for the iPad called "InkPad". Is anyone using it yet?

Hey,
I am still looking for a simple program to create vector art for my next app.
Last night i discovered "InkPad" which, unfortunately, is only available for the iPad.
I know that some of you use the iPad to create artwork and then email or upload the images which is an option i suppose because I could work when ever inspiration strikes.

I'm curious if anyone has bought it (it's only 2 bucks) and if yes, what your impressions are?

Thanx for pointing this out to me!

I just bought it ... have a few $ left on my gift card... and $1.99 was too good to pass up

I had bought the creator's Brushes... but do not like as well as ArtStudio...

paths lay in automatically ... easy to add multiple new anchor points with menu (1 tap)
awe... doing vectors with your finger tips is fun!
you can put photo from your Photo Album with great ease... (sometimes nice to email yourself a pix and then do some graphic work on it in iPad...)
easy to select layers...and lock them
just runs smooth and very fast!

I am happy with my purchase...
Seems loaded with goodies... for the price!

Looks fun. Can it export large images? As in, any size or scale I set? I like to work with high res images and scale them down as needed.

    @MikeQuinn

you know I didn't check out that... but the one photo I put in iPhoto ...is full screen and I like that... (though in the work area it l think is says 49% )... you can pinch zoom... ;)
when you create a new Drawing you can select the size, but yuck they are printer sizes...

emailed to myself to check out specifics characteristics on a drawing...

    Aha, thanks for the tip.

We are now that much closer to being able to make iOS games on the devices themselves ;-)

I saw this and keep looking at it considering buying it.

Can't remember from reading about it, but does it let you export eps files?

we could then easily scale to whats needed in ilustrator?

It lets you export png, jpg, and psd.....that's all I can see right now. It has a lot of cool features/styles.

Looks like its pretty powerful, great vector handle control.

Only obvious problem, your finger gets in the way of any precise line drawing. I'm sure you get used to that though....

Will certainly stick with it....the iPad gets more and more useful....

Wow I think ArtStudio should pay me for this advertising! lol

stormystudio-I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about for the finger thing, but somewhere in settings there is a "delayed drawing" option. Might help, not sure.....

I DLed it - AMAZINGLY GOOD illustrator inspired app for a very reasonable price.

(If only the original was? ;-)

Also note the decent open source Inkscape for your desktop machine, which is freee

Will do a review video for sure.

Note that the icon for Art Studio is 90% similar to that of Brushes. ;-)

    Has anyone used "Layers", btw?

These are "paint programs" of course, which are different than "vector" apps like InkPad
