Hey there everyone,

I am new to GameSalad, so I am trying to take an existing GameSalad project, in this case, Space Quest, and modify it for my project needs. So far, I have something pretty cool and everything is going well. There is just one problem.

I am trying to replace several of the images to my own images and most worked just fine. Player lives and the background changed by simply dragging my images in, but if I try to do that with the player character, the scene shows my image, but when I click "Preview", it still has the original image. How can I resolve this problem? It is driving me nuts!!!

Thanks everyone,

-Robert S.

Check the rules on the player in the scene to make sure there are no change image rules

Look through your rules theres prob a change image behavior in there. Also it is normally best to name your replacement art exactly the same as what is in your project. case-sensitive and all. then you just have to drag your new art into the images section and it will all change on its own.

In the image pane... delete the old images click on the png to highlight & [-]

    Save Project

    Close GameSalad and reopen...

seems to me that GS stores everything in memory while it is running... so some dramatic changes need a quit/restart of GS.

I would definitely save a backup before doing anything like this. i've not ever experience that but its definitely possible its needed.

    Right you are!
but I would save and start a new copy before I add the new images...
latest project have only one scene done... and 14 copies! I just keep Saving as...and prefixing another # to the name!

so for those that haven't been doing so.... Listen to tenrdrmer....
