I think to motivate more users, we should have "most productive member of the week(or month). This can motivate users to get more things done, and of course, prizes could be offered. That way, as well as game of the week, you can have dev of the week. Which in terms, would have the most contribution
---- ALSO you could have helper of the week(month). Someone who gave the most help that month or week. or these could both be the same thing.
I just think there are too many helpful people around here that deserve more credit than they get.

It could cause some added stress on people who are competitive and already obsessed with GameSalad.

Plus, features like that require a complete forum overhaul, and they have difficulty even posting on a routine basis. Let's keep the requests simple

At the biggining was just for GOTW, then it has a lot of stuff.
It is not difficult to implement, it seems that there is no one in charge of that.
I Send them an email to help them with that… like 4 days ago, and there was no answer a lot (Even when i send via Applying Jobs.)

Lol.
1, no one to run the thing and imo it would be a waste of time to run because there is no incentive to run it.
2, no prizes. There have been multiple "contest" on the site, but I have failed to see the value of these contests, sure it helps people put out games, but there really is no worthwhile prize. Not like you will get featured by apple because of a contest or "user of the month" on the GS forum.
3, if you need the "motivation" of some arbitrary contest that has no true meaning, then maybe you should not be doing this in the first place. You should never lose motivation if you truly enjoy doing it.
Just my thoughts
