explosion physics stop working when camera scrolls

hello,

i'm attempting to do explosion type physics with one of the many demos, and no matter what i do, when i constrain the camera to the actor and widen the scene, it correctly follows the actor, but the explosions stop working the second it causes the camera to leave the initial scene

    using tshirtbooths blast template i have only one actor being blasted and widened the scene and control camera to the actor

    but it no longer blasts once the camera has scrolled

    is there any way to make it work?
