More sales

I made a game similar to zombie drop ( from scratch no template) and it went on sale about 3 weeks ago for iPad, it is called cowboy smash. It did about 40 sales at 1.99 in week one and on week 3 slowed right down to 1 every couple of days. I then decided to duplicate the game with some improvements but with a penguin and called penguin smash, better graphics. That has sold about 80 copies in the first week so not so bad. I then made them both in to iPod versions and the have jointly done about 100 sales in the first week.

I guess not everyone likes cowboys or penguins so I could do another one in about 4 days and sell that. Not a great plan as I would rarther make different games but if it makes money does it really matter. So maybe your game could do with a face life and a theme change, it may bring another burst of sales.

Regards

John

Yeah but you are soon going to have a ton of duplicate apps that you have to update as well as it will show real quick on the developer page that you are just duplicating your game with different artwork.

Will be great if you have ads for the rest of your games so that pp playing the cowboy version will know there's also a penguin version and so on :)

So they can buy and play the same game over again. The more I think about this its really walks the line of unethical. You should at the very minimum be pulling the old versions if all you are doing is changing art. It would be different if you were building new levels but just new art is really low IMO

You need a pro license and then use open URL behaviour.

    Try not think money-money-money.

Work quality games with lots of changers, or we all will slowly lose our customer thoughts of "Hey it's only a couple bucks"

I'm starting to think Templates should be sold for ALOT more money.
