iphone resolutions

hi all,

I'm designing a game for the iphone and want to take advantage of the resolution independent feature, so as to make the game for both the iphone 4 as well as previous versions.

I'm designing my levels in photoshop at 960x640 at 72 dpi, but when I bring some into GS, they are twice the size that they should be.

Do I need to scale them down and then the software will scale them back up (but keeping the detail) at time of deployment?

    forget my last post, I was copying actors. If I do it with newly created actors it works fine!
