Gamesalad as a rapid iteration tool

Hey all,
I love Gamesalad as a hobbyist game designer. But I also work professionally as a product manager at a mobile game company. I am wondering, if I want to rapidly iterate on UI design concepts on hardware, could I use Gamesalad? I'm sure the answer is yes, but what I am most concerned about is security. Is there anyway I can load devices with software without publishing them to make my work available to everyone? I would be dealing with documents and artwork that isn't public, and I don't want to make it so, although I'm not exactly clear about the publishing implications of this. Any help, tips, or suggestions is appreciated, thanks!

Absolutely, you can publish to just the devices you want using ad-hoc builds. These apps would only run on devices you specify. The images and content are easily removed from the app bundles however so your documents can only be as secure as the devices themselves.

You can use the GS Viewer to download GameSalad games to your device. The game is saved to the device, so it can be replayed without the GameSalad Creator running.

You could also use the simulator...

Ok, I guess my concern is still it being available to all the other GS members through the startup portion of the program. You know how you can filter a search on the actual GS program to see what other people have made? Every time I publish, does the game get put here as well?

No that is only if you choose to publish to the website. IE: Your own build is not shown if you don't choose it.

just to summarize ... for what i think you are saying ... that you want to build some concept stuff ... have a few people look at it/ play with it then I would suggest the route Photics suggests and that is to build and install the GS viewer app on your devices and then build your projects and load them to the viewer and you can walk away, test/play etc. this way none of your project goes to Gamesalad at all. I have viewers on three devices here and it is quick and easy to get new versions of my projects loaded.

In the ad hoc builds you are getting a game wrapped by Gamesalad servers so your files will need to pass to their servers and back to you.
