Any chance your book "An Unofficial GameSalad Textbook" will be available in PDF for those of us who do not have a Mac device yet?

Currently, I only have the app version available on the iTunes App Store.

For the future, there's a possibility that the printed version will return. I'm waiting for GameSalad to hit 1.0 first though.

Hmm, myself I am waiting for the "iPad 13", I suspect they will happen at about the same time. :)

Well as soon as I get my iPad I will order your book. Here's a thought, is there anyway to read your book on an iMac without as iOS device?

I have access to the old PDF. But yesterday, I forced myself to use the iPhone version. I know that a lot of people have been complaining about reading the book from the iPhone. So, I tried it and it was really nice. It was cool having it on the extra screen.

From what I understand, it's really easy to crack a Mac Store App. One of the reasons the PDF isn't offered anymore is because it's so easy to steal. Also, it doesn't make sense for me to make a desktop version if only a few people want it.

I'd have to register for the Mac App store. That's $99. If only four people buy the book, I'd lose money. Although, if BOT does well, I'll probably port it to the Mac. When that happens, I can probably port the book too. I'm not sure if I will though.

It's easy and cheap to get an iOS device. The iPad just dropped $100. The 3GS iPhone is $49. If you're using GameSalad, I think it's a good idea to have a testing device.

Here's a big issue — by offering multiple versions, the sales are diverted. By focusing all of the sales to the iTunes App Store, the book does well. It regularly appears as "What's Hot" in the iTunes book section. This is some of the best marketing available for an App. It increases visibility for my book and GameSalad in general.
