Ad Hoc vs. GS Viewer Build

Thanks for everyones help. My GS viewer game works perfectly. However the Ad Hoc build does something strange. At the first startup of the Ad Hoc build on an iPad the GS logo / splash screen shows. However when you quit the game and restart it again the game starts at the last screen when it was quit - no matter which screen it was. Also it saves the bankroll like its a " high score" game save and i don't even have that feature.

Any ideas?

If you want to shut down the game completely, you need to double click the awake button and send it into multitask mode. On the bottom where all the apps pop up, scroll to your app, press and hold until the "-" sign shows up, and click that when it does. That will shut down your game from the multitasking and it will restart from beginning.

I think there may be a way to code it to do that GS, but I'm probably wrong.

It called mutliTasking. GS apps all multitask. meaning they keep running in the background unless you double tap the home button and manually close them.

An adhoc build is basically what your customers (the people that buy your app) are going to see... the splash screen you get when you open your app is a way of "paying" gamesalad for this amazing software.. If you dont want that splash screen you got to pay 500 bucks for the pro version..

Also when you close your app you are not really closing it.. remember that iOS has multitasking now and if you just press the home bottom your app keeps running in the background and if you tap on it again it will just come back to your screen..

If you really want to close your app you have to quickly press the home button twice that will show you all the apps that are running and then you have to close the app there by keep touching the app you want until they start shaking and press the close button.. after doing that if you start your app again you will get again the gamesalad splash screen and your game will start from scene 1

    hope that helps

Okay - I am almost there. I got the game build - uploaded to GS and a saved file to my desktop and followed the following video -

The video says I need to use the Application Loader to up load the game to Apple - is this correct? I cant seem to find it in the "finder".

If I am at iTunes connect and have all the app information set up ready to go is the "application loader" the only way to get the game to Apple?

I am uploading the file that I was asked to save when publishing to GS? It appears to be a file that can not be opened on my macbook - it says that it is not supported on this type of mac. ???

    thanks

Uploaded it and got the following message.

" application failed codesign verification. the signature was invalid, or was not signed with an apple submission certificate"

When you're in Publish GS defaults to 3.0 change it 3.2
