improving the pause in the next update?

when you pause, the game loads the loading wheel, pauses then goes to the pause scene. to unpause the game it PAUSES AGAIN then loads the FREAKIN' SCENE!

i did notice that if the pause screen contains less content it will load faster.

say your pause scene has music and particles and s a full screen, it will likely lag. (pause)
but if its just a small black box with some font (for example: "resume/continue") it will be a short pause.

I agree the behavior is nice but it needs serious performance improvements before I will ever add to a game. Unless the Game is to complex to implement my own pause feature

    yea ii feel u man.

    basically its loading a scene
would it be better to load the pause as an actor?

I agree, I don't know what you mean about it pausing twice though, but I do think loading shouldn't really happen. Especially for 2D games.

I use the pause screen as an easy way to create a gameover/retry page. However, I think it would be better without the loading wheel, or at least make that an option.

i know that it PAUSES because i have a game where the gameplay is in sync with the music. the moment i pause it THROWS OFF the whole sync. but the gameplay is still in rhythm. basically i loads the music back TOO SOON. i tried adding timers but since the pause is a SCENE itself, and unpasuing causes it to "change scene (sort of)" the timer behaviors wont work.

i am happy we have a pause tho :)
beter than before. it just needs a small improvement
