I think you get a lot right. There's appropriate music, for one. Buttons are clear, and there's a nice childish look to the graphics.
Some of the graphics, however, look very blurry. Perhaps read up a little on getting clearer graphics by searching the forums.
Additionally, I'm not sure why there's a jump button. i didn't need to use it!
Other thoughts are mainly that there's not a huge amount of variety in the game and the icon doesn't really represent anything.
I'm guessing you're pretty young though, and this is certainly a good start. I've seen a lot worse, believe me!
