First up I just want to say thanks to the developers, Gamesalad is truly an awesome and inspiring piece of software. I'm truly enjoying learning and creating with it. Thank you guys.

Now I know this has been covered in other posts but I just wanted to chime in and add that the ablility to save progress and save scores is a really important feature that needs to be added to the gamesalad engine.

Saving a games progress and scores is especially important in games on a mobile phone platform, due to the iphone not being a dedicated game platform. Users shouldn't have to abandon progress in a game when they need to answer a call.

Not that I have any clue about how the Gamesalad engine interacts with the iphone OS or the difficulties involved with adding a save functionality, but heres hoping it isn't too far off in the future.

Everyone who is working on a game will be agreeing with you.

Its crazy that its not a default feature.

The only reasons I can think why its not a feature is because...

    1. Management do not believe its important.
    2. GameSalad is written in another system which limits its ability to save.
    3. Not able to use the iPhone API or similar reason.

You know if you release a game with a score system, users will complain the score is not saved.

I do believe the developers should release their road-map and expected dates or releases with features they are working on. It would stop many complaints.
