need help with change attribute

ok iam following step by step a template , basically a platform moving left and right, the thing is that on the example i can click on change attribute on "game, then i can see the option "move" but on my scene i cant it only show me game then NAME, TIME, ACTOR TAGS, but no MOVE,

    ok i got it, i click + and integer and named move, but still dont understand why i have to do this , with out this the thing wont move?
