Totb2 Dream Lab- Ice Melt(or glacier melt Idk yet)

Ok so this is my entry for the totb2 contest. its called ice melt for now. Basically you have to defend your glacier from fire balls caused by global warming. You have the LAST iceberg on the planet and you must defend it with a snow cannon. upgrades, powerups, are soon to come. this is a video of basic gameplay.

love the concept...look forward to seeing this one grow.. it certainly ticks a few global warming boxes, and could easily get some good press when its finished...

For escape artist Time is the biggest hurdle at the moment...not sure how much fun it is to play, so keep wanting to change different aspects of it. I've got it setup so you have to see how many shapes you can draw before time runs out, with a plan to give you bonus time if you achieve 100% accuracy on a shape...

sounds good!! can't wait. I love interactive games using like your finger. like solipskier. At first when you had escape artist, I thought it was like a jail scene and you had to cut a hole in the wall to fit yourself out ya know. like escaping. hah

Ok so I have been thinking of names. At first I wanted ice melt, but it didnt seem right. Then I wanted to add something global warming related but that would tell kids and teens its educational and that is a turn off for kids. haha. So I came up with this. its not permanent, but I reserved the name just in case.



For gameplay. Here is what I am doing. You have a huge selection of cannons but you have to unlock them.you start with the worst one and work your way up buying other cannons. you are on a glacier. and fireballs, meteors, ect are falling from the sky due to global warming. you have to defend the last glacier. You have a money system. you can buy new cannons, better snow balls, better ice blocks(shields and ammmo for the ice blocks) and its a wave system. so it starts at wave one, then goes on from there. so I plan on adding achievements and unlockables and things like that.

let me know what you guys think. I take suggestions btw.

I think it sounds beautiful... good job! I'm glad you changed to name though, I was thinking of Polar Meltdown for mine.

Any progress with this in the end...?... I know you commented on the mainthread asking when voting was starting.

If you got more done, please post your final vid in the main TOTB2 thread so it can be put up for voting for all the excellent prizes.

nope. I didn't have time to complete this. I got sidetracked and lost time. I will definitely be in the next contest.
