If I hosted a training session in GameSalad, would you be interested in attending?

If yes, would you prefer it to be online or in New York City?

I'm thinking online would be $99 for a four hour lesson.

I'm thinking a NYC class would be about the same length, but more expensive. It depends how much it costs to rent a Mac lab for 4-5 hours.

It depends on the topics and "how" you are covering them? Will you have a course book included for the $99?

Another book, probably not... sample templates are more likely.

I used to teach graphics design courses to get people up to speed in 3D modeling/texturing/animating & rendering and always used course material.

To be honest, Vancouver has a GREAT potential for teaching kids about gamesalad and if i knew a little more about games, i'd probably start something because there are a ton of gfx artists here who could benefit.
But I'd have to study your book seriously and actually make a game to "proof" and qualify myself in that field.
    All in all, it's doable.

Bottom line, without a course book, I don't know how you could teach an on line class. You would need a dedicated web page as well but you know that already :)

I already wrote a book though. It seems silly to write another one just for a course. I could simply say, "Go buy the book!" or include a copy as part of the course.

I've had plenty of college courses that didn't require a book. Usually those were the classes where you did something... photography, video, radio.

I went looking at an existing GameSalad course. $99 is probably too high for a 4 hour online course. Eight hours would be better, but that's harder to organize in this community. There are a lot of timezones. HA! I certainly could create enough material for an eight hour course.

It's in the idea stages right now. I think the textbook is the best and it doesn't make sense to duplicate work. But for learning, a classroom setting is great.

I think it might make sense to work with local universities / colleges and set something up... like a continuing education course.
