Accelerometer controls for portrait would be like this:

When attribute device accelerometer x >0.5 move right

When attribute device accelerometer x < -0.5 move left

When attribute device accelerometer y >0.5 move up

When attribute device accelerometer y < -0.5 move down

    cheers

    Thanks Dude, you're really helpful : )

It's not very smooth, either to fast or to slow. Do you think Doodle Jump did anything different?

just play around with the accelerate behaviour to move your actor. always seems smoother that way for me.

    cheers

ps:i'll email you some polar bear mock ups later today (i'm on UK time, so you'll probably be asleep!)

Im working with an ipad for an iphone game. Would anybody know how that would affect the game play. For example is the rotation proportional?

no no no! That will not give you speed depending on tilt.

Use The exponential function, e^x X tilt value
