does anyone know how to limit touch movement to up/down/left/right only?

Im trying to use "when touch is pressed" to move an actor on horizontal and vertical movements only.
I do not want the actor to move diagonally at all.
it works fine with arrow key strokes, but touch always follows in every direction it seems.

how do i stop the diagonal movements?

I just watched a good tutorial by tshirtbooth last night on youtube. It much more fun to watch his tuts on my 50" with the built in youtube app. Is a setting to x only or y only or both. I think its called " actor constraints "
