I have a game on my iphone that i build using GS, however it is very SLOW while loading, and it keeps on showing the loading wheel for long periods of time. Any solutions to this?

I think there's a bug. Sometimes I have to restart my iPhone (and quit the GS Viewer) otherwise the game won't run.

Is the viewer representative of how your game will run? My game runs smooth 60 fps on my 3GS and on my wife's iphone 4.

But should I test on an ad-hoc build? Or is it necessary?

as7494 also try to compress your images with imageoptim and make your sound files 22 khz with a smaller bitrate as well. Made a big difference for me

i have mine an adhoc build. it works fine in simulator, however its horrible ad hoc....when i click menus i have the when touch is pressed option, it takes 3 minutes for it to load

Simulator is not a good test on how it will run. Its got e full processing power of your machine behind it!

Adhoc and viewer are how it will really run.

Maybe it's my Mac. (I have a late 2009 Mac Mini.) The iOS simulator is the slowest testing method. BOT runs at ~60 FPS on my iPhone 4, but only like 10-15 on the simulator. This is great for finding areas where your game might break on older hardware.

Did you mean the GameSalad Creator preview mode?

im running it ON my device, and its very slow. Native build using the publish tool (ad hoc). I cant understand at all why its SO slow, it keeps on endlessly loading while transferring scenes. It works fine in simulator...

Yea I know the simulator you have your mac powering it...I was just saying if my game runs fine on the actual device via the gamesalad viewer is that representative of how it will run when published.

i think i found the problem :/ i have a "bad scene" it seems that makes it very slow for the rest

more or less, an adhoc build is the perfect test as that is exactly how it will perform, but I think the viewer is perfectly fine to test on during development, just do an adhoc during your final QA to make sure everything works as normal.
