I can't find an answer to this question - do we need to update Xcode and iOS SDK to every new version, to successfully publish GameSalad game to AppStore? Are there any differences (such as: game won't work on the newest iOS) between GameSalad game published with Xcode 4 and iOS SDK 4.3, and GameSalad game published with Xcode 3 and iOS SDK 4.2?

Thank you!

No you don't, after all GS still think we are in September of 2010, but it keeps things simple if you are always using the latest final release.

There will be differnces between iOS 4.2 and 4.3 compiled games but as GS seem to be using iOS 4.2 BETA I wouldn't worry about it, uck knows why they haven't updated, maybe they have maxed out their allowed bandwidth from their internet provider :)

The xcode and sdk you use has more effect on the viewer app that you install on your devices, all your xcode is doing for your app store apps is code signing.

Your apps for the app store are compiled by the servers at GS.

I tend to update my Xcode once it gets to GM release so I am currently using xcode 3.2.6 iOS 4.3 and xcode 4 iOS 4.3 both of which happily install the 92 viewer on my iphone 3gs and ipad.

edit: are they really using iOS 4.2 BETA for our APPS ??? an answer on this would be good, maybe its just some plist ock up
