Does Display Text Alignment work?

I'd like to put a money amount in the top left corner. So I've created an actor that displays: "$"..game.Money
I've set the align at the Left. But as I play the game the text still appears to generate from the middle (causing my "$" dollar sign, and some of the larger numbers to move off of the visible screen...

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to get the text to align left?

I think its and alignment only within the actor so I would say you need to make your actor it self bigger than the text you are displaying if you want it to align right. Although it would be nice if you could place a small actor on the left and it spit all the text to the right from that point.

Nope. That doesn't work. It still puts the "$" and the money value in the middle of the actor. It won't align it to the left side...

yeah. I've never really noticed the text alignment do anything like you would expect it to. :)

I found out yesterday that the alignment really only works if you have multiple lines of text.
