Ogg sounds

Hi

Looking at other game engines on the iPhone, I see a common thread which points to people avoiding using OGG sound files because they are processor hungry. This would explain the performance hits I get in my game when sound FX are being played.

Will there be any changes in GS in future to improve performance in this area?

    It's quite confusing to be fair. From what I've seen on the 'net, Apple prefer apps to use Oggs, at around 11.5k sample rate.

    It's not the highest quality, but it does keep file sizes down...

    Recently though I've been using other formats just fine, though that's for background music.
