I had thought pro version was $199 and express was $99, but the become a member page and an email I got about 20% off upgrading says otherwise.

Has it always been 1999 and I just misread?

    Yep, it's always partied like it's $1999.

Though unjustifiably in its present state! :O

Holy **** that is ridiculous. Wish I realized that earlier. The Game Salad logo is so ugly :(

Tshirt did you buy it though? I don't recall seeing a GS splash screen when playing Red Block Remover.

Originally there were two pricing plans:

$1999/year for Pro and $499/year for Indie.

Then they changed the Indie prices to $99/year.
and at that time, anybody who purchased the original $499 indie plan, was upgraded to a Pro account.

It's a matter of taste, but I wouldn't call the gamesalad logo ugly... I think it is a well designed and appropriate graphic for this product.

You know, $99 is a hell of a deal. You can't blame gamesalad for putting a promo on this level.

me too I don't go soo far and says that the logo is ugly... for the money i can make with that program i can say that the logo is fuc**** BEAUTIFUL !!!!

and about the price just think of it ''Direct Customer Support'' ''In-Game URL Forwarding'' ''Custom Loading Screen'' and the REAL GAME SALAD it make me think, not you ?

Haha maybe not ugly per se, but I sure don't want that as my loading screen. And I too agree that $99 dollars is a hell of a deal for the express.

But what the hell are you guys thinking with 2000$ full version. It seems that anybody willing to spend 2000 a year on an iPhone development program is very serious about development, and would therefor move onto programs that use actual code and are much cheaper- or even free.

Not to mention the strict limits on game salad as far as number of actors at a time, lack of ability to save any sort of variable, etc.

It's like GS Pro is for the extremely rich 10 year old who doesn't like the GS logo, and that's about it.

Make a 299$ small GS logo with custom loading screen, and URL forwarding or something. Anything. Holy ****.

Sorry about the rant guys, but I can't believe I didn't notice this sooner.
