flocking behaviour
HI Folks, I am trying to get a group of birds to do a follow and swoop around a central guiding bird in a convincing manner. I've got things working roughly (but no cigar), by putting the lead bird position to a pair of game attribute every second and interpolating the followers position to it in the following second with random offsets, but it is not great. The situation is complicated by having a wrap around on the screen as it throws the values out wildly when the lead bird runs over the edges and back on the screen and the followers want to fly back across the screen to the re-entering lead bird. Any suggestions more than welcome
