Game promoting?

I recently uploaded a game (coin snatcher) to the app store for .99 cents. would it be better to price it for free for a couple of days to get some "exposure"?

    Give it a few days of sales then do a free day or so but that's just me.

    I would give it a week at least other wise the app tracking stuff may not pick up the price drop.

    You have a big trade off, it depends on the game and how the market received it.
    If you price it, it is most likely to have the best sales on the first week, so if its free you wont get that monet of the first week.
    But if its free for a few days, a lot of people will know about the game, and if its a good one, they will get it via Word Of Mouth.
    And then you will get money.

    Also, by posting updates would that help with sales after the first week?
