I have an idea for a Metroid/Castlevania style cave exploring game its this possible on GS? I am also wondering more about piecing together the environments and number of actors available in one scene. I have two ideas on ways to do this and was wondering if either is the right way.

One way would be to draw out the levels in Photoshop and complete the art there and piece it over into GS then lay out invisible actors for the walls that mimic the level design in photoshop. Or should I make all the art assets as actors themselves and build everything in GS? I am asking before I start because I don't want to scrap another project because I just don't know all the limitations of GS.

Thanks for any help..

I suggest seperate the BG to the foreground. This way you could implement a parallax scrolling and make your scene a bit 3 dimensional and interesting. Good luck with your game.

Drawing with photoshop might be abit more realistic, i will do that if could. But my art sux :P

Just use seperate background layer to make scroll effect and i think it will turn out great.
