Hi all,

If I had a game and it was successful and I want to switch to the pro version. How fast is it to make this happen? Thanks!

The switch on Game Salads side is quick however if you are planning on adding an update to reflect the pro features you can expect another week or two on Apples end to get an update approved.

I can't wait till I have a spare $500 for this, I think I will really need it.

My intention is to switch to the pro version, once I get a 499$ from sales.

It's a quandary because if you have the pro version you can generate a lot of money from the iAds and selling games free. But you need $500 to buy the pro to get some serious cash for your games...

    Hmm...

I can tell you as someone who started this with the plans of buying new equipment and software upgrades from Sales its not the best plan as most apps are lucky to get 500 Paying Sales. Its a good way to set yourself up for disappointment. Of course not saying it cannot be done its just not typical.

I wouldn't buy pro and bank on making $500 any time soon with iAds. Stormy Studios is the only person I have seen publicly state he makes a decent amount using iAds.

Stormy said that he makes about $10-20 per day using iAds. That ads up pretty quickly $70-140 per week is pretty good if you ask me!

Very Good but as I said he is the only person I have seen report those results and he seems to always ignore the question what app is that from. He has a successful app but who knows if its that one or not. I make a couple cents a day with iAds if i'm lucky unless someone happens to click an ad by accident. I've made about $20 in three months with iAds.

I'm just saying MOST people report low returns with iAds and Stormy is the only one I have seen report a good return. So just don't bank on it. I got pro because it was $99 and I figured it would add some stuff to make the $99 worth it over the course of my first year. But there is no way even with the now custom splash screen I Would pay $499 for pro as it is right now.

I would be more interested in the PRO if it was $500 for life and NOT $500 yearly!!! BIG, BIG difference!!

Maybe more like Photoshop $500 to buy and then about $150 every year when the new versions come out???

Maybe 499 is a bit too high in comparison with Corona which is 199$ and corona has more APIs but it's not GUI.

Its too high for what it is now but It wont be once they add some good features like GameCenter.

IMHO, 499 USD is a way too much for very few additional features. I would use only Promotional Links. If GS Pro contains also: GameCenter, video support, shorter loading times - I will buy it immediately.

I think it's probably safe to assume GameCenter will be pro only. that and any sort of social integration like twitter or facebook as well.
