Anyone Ever Get a Corrupted GS File?

Hey,

A couple times now my files have lost something.
The most recent was "no image to display" on one of my actors. I put image after image but it didn't read it. Opened closed etc. So had to start over lol.

Another time before that Tshirt was working with me on my project and it wouldn't interpolate so I had to delete the whole scene and then it worked.

Any similar stories? Makes me scared... haha

frequently, particularly relating to audio and image files.

Nearly all have been fixed with a little fiddling inside the gameproj file, either swapping out corrupt files or checking out the xml files.

I have one project that still now I can't edit any rules in. The game is published and to update I have to delete actors and remake them each time. If I try to click to edit an actor that's already there it comes up with a white box on the right and GS locks up.

Yep that why you need to save often and with a new file name each time that way you don't have a lot of work when it corrupts you can just go back 5-10 minutes in time and start again.

Yup :-) usually I have more than 100 save files for each project.

Yeah I start with "ProjectNameV0.0.1" for each project and get close to 100 files before its done

I've had the same kind of corruption problem. Luckily I constantly Save As, as tenrdrmer and StusApps suggest and I rolled back the last working version. It's easy to forget that GS is still in beta.

I had to rebuild a game twice due to some crashes with GS halfway thru which makes it impossible to open up the project at all.

I do versioning, but not too often. I mostly rely on the hourly backups that Time Machine does.
