What to do when a GS update introduces new problems?

Hey there all,
I had been holding off installing 9.2 because it didn't seem to offer anything I was in need of. But I went ahead and did it the other day so I could look at a project someone sent me that required it.
Well, after installing, I'm noticing a significant decrease in performance in parts of my game I haven't touched for weeks, along with a couple of crashes.
My question is, whats to be done when this kind of thing happens? I'm wondering if any of you have encountered this with past updates, and if so, how you've dealt with it.
Also, is there any sort of list of known bugs that 9.2 may have introduced?
Thanks everyone.

This will certainly get me in the habit of creating most of my art assets up front, then 'coding' as much toward the end as possible. Debating on just waiting until the NEXT release is out to redo this.. we'll see what next weeks roadmap says.
Thanks guys.
