Better to have NO LOADING CLOCK! Let the action just freeze for a bit instead.

people HATE to see a "loading clock" - in a way, it reminds them to be bored. ;-)

I'd prefer GS to just do it's business with no visual interruption to the user experience.

(Those authors who want to use it could put up a "now loading..." actor before switching if they want.

Like the splash screen, let there be less of a distraction from the graphic style established by each game.

I dont see why GS cant just let us use deal with loading however we want. I mean how hard would it be to let us insert our own animation for a loading circle, or even as you say, have no circle at all.

Yea I agree here.. I also dont love the loading circle.. It would be better if it has nothing..

I disagree. From a user experience perspective, having *something* that indicates the app is still working is far better than having nothing - which could indicate a crash.

Look at ANY professional game, and you'll see it's true.

It gives the player feedback - 'we're working on loading your fun - be with you in a mo'!'

I understand people's want to make their own loading bar/wheel/fizzing bomb graphic though, but don't see it as the major priority others do right now.

    Would be nice though ;)

I downloaded the openfeint gamechannel app the other day, and noticed it also has the exact same loading icon. Im thinking its more a built in feature which apps can choose to have.

Or the GS team are making more advanced app's on the side than we can with the software itself, as the app can link to your openfeint account. But I don't think thats as likely.

QS is right, you NEED something to indicate something is going on for two reasons. People need to know you're app is still working, and it's also REQUIRED by apple.

True you do need something but I've been an interactive designer for about 11 years now and IMO it sucks. Some options would be much appreciated.
