special characters - forum related

any chance we can tone down the use of special characters in thread titles? it started off pretty limited, but the marketplace is starting to look like my spam folder in gmail, and the main page is slowly following behind.

I know they are a great way to get your thread title to stand out, but if everyone uses them then it just looks cluttered. Part of the problem is the lack of an official marketplace from GS, and then limited forum software we are dealing with.

but maybe it's just me.

I agree for the forum but not so much the marketplace, it's an easy way to pick out who's threads are who's. That way if theres someone who prefers buying from a certain person they know instantly their prefered dev had posted something new. It would be nice if once or twice a week every post at the top is not just a bump of the same persons stuff though.

A super simple 'topic started by' function on the forum would solve this I reckon.

Yeah that would be pretty sweet. I love the different look of this forum over every other forum on the planet but it really sucks that it doesn't have all of the same features a's the other forums. Like an actual post date and time too instead of 1 week 2 weeks or 3 weeks ago since a thread that says two weeks ago could be 14 days or 20 days it would be nice to have actual dates.
