Restarting - where am I going wrong?

Hello fellow salad consumers!

I've always had a problem restarting my games, which is why they don't have more than one level in them these days!

I thought I'd bite the bullet and try and just get a simple restart going.

On my title screen I have an actor that states that enemieskilled = 0

In the main game, when enemieskilled = 2 then it pauses and goes back to the title screen.

When I try and start again, GameSalad crashes (remember, enemieskilled is changed back to 0 on account of you being back on the title screen)

What am I doing wrong here? It makes sense to me, but is obviously not working :(

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

QS

Sounds like you have the appropriate rules and attributes placed, I would like to know this as well!

Not having a reset feature is another must have with the save feature!

If there is a way of implementing this in the meantime, it would be good to know

Yep - top three requests from the sheep:

    1. Reset feature
    2. Save feature
    3. High score feature

Still stuck on this though, so any help is appreciated!

    Cheers,

    QS :)

    Edit to the above:

I took out the enemieskilled=0 thing on the title screen

The game still counts how many enemies killed there are, so that when it =2, for example, the level ends and you go back to the title screen.

However, pressing start, which simply changes scene to level 1, still crashes the game :(

    What's going on???

    Cheers for the help!

I also have a similar situation where I have 3 health bars, when they equal zero, I have the game go back to the title screen, but I believe (and I'll have to test this theory upon arriving home), but I think it won't start the game over, but I haven't had it crash either.... strange!

I thought that it wasn't possible to institute your own reset, and the only way was for GS to provide this... and high score... and save feature!
