So, for people who read my posts or not, I have worked 14 days straight and got paid big over time.

I have $700 left for the next couple weeks. (all my bills are paid) not including food and fuel.
I want to use $500 to get the PRO account, but ahh so much money lol.

But just putting it on here xD

What you guys think I should do ?

    BUY AN IPAD
    OR BUY PRO
    OR BUY SOFTWARE
    OR DONATE TO JAPAN

iPad or Pro is my top priority for GS.

    iPad = Good beta testing.
Pro = iadds (meh) prime technical support (hmm) and No splash screen.
I just wanna lose the splash screen lol.

Depends what the reasons for getting pro are.

If you want to be sensible you could bank that money, work hard again next month and then get pro when you have a little buffer of money.

I'd go with Shaz's advice... and bank it for now... unless youve got a good game ready to go.

Maybe use some of the money to invest into a game...for purchasing art or sound assets, so that you can build a game that justifies the purchase of Pro.

Then top up the money again later if needed, when youve actually got the game ready, and buy Pro then...

ipad will be better than pro right now
    here are some reasons
    1. you can do more things on an ipad
2.ipad last for ever, pro doesn't
    3.it is cheaper

If I were you I would buy an iPad. It's better to have a good game and fully polished than a bad polished game and no splash screen :)!

How does an ipad give your game more polish? I just bought the ipad 2 when it came out. It was a good buy, I dont regret it, but now I am in the boat where I need to either buy pro, or invest some money into my game. So here is what you should do.

Invest some of the money into the game. make sure that it will be worth buying and that it will make some money. then with the money from that, buy the ipad. that way, you have a good game and an ipad.

just ask yourself "what would Charlie Sheen do?"

    ...

failing that, I say bank it, wait till you have a game ready for release, if you really feel it will make more money by not having the GS splash screen buy pro... if you want to release an ipad version buy an old pad for cheap and for testing...

I agree. Nothing more fun than a prostitute past her prime and illicit controlled substances. Just keep an eye on your watch.

I would think about getting some games out to see what you can do first. When I look at it I made $20000 with the gamesalad splash screen, sure I was glad to be rid of it but you can make money with it still.

dont buy ipad, ive just bought the ipad 2 and its a big paperweight at the moment until i start converting my game to ipad format,if you have a game on the go invest into graphics, sounds, promotion.get a good game on the app store even if you only make small amounts of cash its something extra coming in,other than your wages

Good advice from tshirtbooth. I'm not investing in Pro until GameCenter is ready (if its not in the free version).
  • mangaroomangaroo Member Posts: 419
I'm afraid that's the same way i feel, its not worth $500 to remove a splash screen, however nice it is to support gamesalad.. Gamecentre is a must, IAP would be a nice bonus. Of course that depends on whether or not your luck continues..id say if i had 30 000 sales total I'd probably invest and loose the splash screen by then

I really don't mind about the splash screen at all. If I'm ever going to get the pro, it would be only two reasons which are the Iad and supporting Gamesalad since it's the greatest tools so far i've seen for creating iphone apps.
