I've had the same problem few times before, dont know how i solved it then.. sort of solved itself i guess..

When i paste some behaviors from other actor it seems like nothing happens, that is, behavior windows spread out where two new behaviors should be pasted but they dont show up.. i press bac arrow to go the main scene and the editor window stops upadating! if i play the game nothing happens in the window, if i double click the actor nothing shows up in the right windows where behaviors should be..

Is that some known issue and how to fix it??

close gamesalad and open the project again. It happenes. but having more ram will delay this issue.

This happens sometimes when you are trying to paste behaviors that are calling for scene or actor attributes. I think its a known bug but not sure.

Just make sure to save all the time - i am constantly cmd+s when ive spent a lot of time....after about 1 hour it bogs down and a quick restart usually fixes it. Sometimes it gets stuck though, which is a lot worse..

After a recent crash doing exactly this I was stuck with the option of saving the file with the changes or loosing the last hour's work. Not only did it crash and freeze but once the behaviour was in 'my behaviour' every time I went to use any of the other behaviour in a saved version of the file it crashed. So I had to open the file with the right click in the browser and delete "behaviours". This cleared the file but some odd bits of graphics still were visible in 'my behaviour' in the actor editor. FIle still crashed if I tried to edit the actor I had dragged as well. SO then I deleted that actor and rebuilt it.

My advice os to save often as Mangaroo suggests, but also to increment your save twice with new version numbers when you are about to do something that might cause problems. Once to save the old version as the last 'safe' version and once again to protect it.

Absolutely, i have like 8 different versions that i've sort of split between like a family tree

I restarted, rebooted, re-everything.. still the same.. editor just froze.. eventually i deleted the actor that i pasted the behaviors to which caused the freezing.. that fixed the problem although i had to redo a lot of stuff :)

Thanks for the advice though, will save incrementally :) Im doing backups but i guess thats not enough..

Yeah my GS slows down and freezes like every 30 min. But honestly, I'm a console game dev by day and I've dealt with much worse, so it's cool.

You should definitely increment versions on your saves at the very least. Use source control if you are doing months of work for the thing and you'll have a version history.
Quick hint: I use project locker on my GS games with svn as my source control program. It has worked well and was easy to set up.
