    From looking at your screenshots I would spend some serious time reading up about C.R.A.P.

    It is a set of design principals that when followed can universally lead to better looking stuff (regardless of art skills). We teach it with kids (but renamed as CRAB) and it is really helpful in them understanding how to better present things. The reason I thought of mentioning this is because the C in C.R.A.P is for 'Contrast'. In your screenshots the writing is nearly unreadable on top of the background, and that is the first thing a customer sees.
