edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
Hey guys. I am having a problem with GameSalad on my computer. It is constantly using close to 100% of my CPU. (On my computer.) It is a pretty fast computer. Its got a Core2 Duo processor that is around 3.0GHz. Does anyone else have this problem? Any fix? I mean, it freezes up every time I even change scenes.

Gamesalad is In beta so it's buggy as is. Adding in the hackintosh factor and it will be worse. There so many things that can already make a hackintosh run bad without gamesalad its tough to know what tge issue is. I started out with a hackintosh and it worked ok but nothing like when I upgrade to a real Mac. I'd recomend finding a used Mac mini and starting from there for game salad

That is the great slowdown bug and depending on what you are doing will happen within minutes of using GS. The only solution is to quit and restart.

    Mine was new in 2010
And as Ron said there is some slow down issues but yours sounds worse than normal. Most people can get 10-20 mins between restarts before having issues.

Ya, it really stinks. I wonder if the bug affects the pro users too? If it did it would really stink cause u spent $500 on it...

I doubt it has anything to do with being a hackintosh, when the slowdown hits CPUs will maxed out on any machine, that IS the problem, some kind of hellish processing loop. It can happen very quickly if you are editing actors and previewing, avoid using the back button if you can.
