I'm a little confused about a review I received.

I received a review of my new game Roly today but I'm little confused as to what he/she is referring to when they say "level editors". He/she sounds like a developer themselves so the fact that they gave it 4 stars makes me happy but I'm not sure what they are referring to when they say "level editors" does anyone else know ?

"Loading is slow and the floating platform is to sensitive. I'll probably be the only one to get this game so I'll help u make it better. Level editors always get people. I'll try to get my friends to buy the game. Please fix platform and add level editor! Thanks this game is awesome!"

    Level editor.
I'm assuming they mean a way for you to include a mode where people can build their own levels for your game on the phone/pad
    ?

You think ? But when he says "Level editors always get people" is he/she saying that developers often get them wrong or people like them ?

I took it to mean that people/users like level editors.

Yes that is what he meant - tbh the only iPhone game i know of with a level editor is Robot Wants Kitty so dont worry about it too much, 4/5* is nice - the little comment about him being the only one to get the game is a bit >.>

You don't play many iphone games do you?

TikiTotems has a level editor thats pretty awesome also QuakeBuilder (a very successful GameSalad Game) has one that works pretty nice too. Thats just two I can think of off the top of my head but many games have them.

Bloons off the top of my head too, there are quite a few. Would be pretty easy to implement too it's just saving x and y's of where the user drags

Thanks for the responses guys. After a little research I now understand the term. I knew the concept but had never heard the term before.

Anyway I will definitely try and put a level editor in future updates of Roly.
