I need your help

hi ive got two actors which are both movable. one needs to move ONLY up and down whilst the other one needs to move left and right. (ONLY). these actors are controlled with the mouse position.
what i need to do is get the actors to move:
actor 1: left and right but be unable to move up and down (also when colliding)
actor 2: the opposite of actor 1
it is quite urgent. plz help!

    i cant constrain the attributes otherwise the actors cant collide.

    thx loads, i have nearly finished my best game so far, i hope to be submitting it out today. it has 45 levels so far !! :D
