sound file size

hi!
if i import music into GS, does it matter what mp3 quality it is? lets say i import a 128kbt mp3 into GS - and the same in 380... will they sound the same? i guess my question is: does GS have a fixed OGG quality, or does it have any relation to the source file?
i'm trying to decrease loading times here.

    I think I saw an optimise post a few days ago that quoted something about bringing in lower bite rate ogg files. Prob best to do a test. check in memory in the player and on saved file to see any differences in file size but be sure to erase the used sound before saving to check file size.
