I have a problem, I looked at a video of GameSalasCookBook in Youtube.
But I saw that I don't have a button called swipe direction...
Can you help me?

You have to make an attribute.

Ace is his usual bundle of help ey? :P ..I'm not sure what you mean exactly but if you mean how to create a swipe button:

2 global attributes touch & release

when actor (where you want the swipe to be) is touched is pressed

change attribute game.touch to game.mouse.position.y if its a vertical swipe, x for horizontal

when actor (where you want the swipe to be) is touched is released

    change attribute game.release to game.mouse.position.y

When the release is less than the touch for y = swipe down
when release is greater than touch = swipe up

    hope that helps

The swipe direction on the video is an attribute if I remember correctly, that's why I was making sure he had an attribute.

I have helped hundreds of people out and have done numerous one on one sessions on Skype with people, created projects and edited projects for people for free and a lot of people will vouch for that. You have not been here to get a grasp of what's usual. I am away recording and only have my iPhone with me and cramming in help when I can.

Fair enough Ace, I don't doubt that you can but I'm just calling it as I see it. Lot of that going round. "Make an attribute" :P

Haha fair point, make an attribute lol. I was super rushed when I put this, I was trying to see if he had made one as a few newbies get confused with creating them and 'swipe direction' is an attribute, not a button.

in the video about determining swipe direction the actor that displays the direction is only to show you its setup right. it does nothing for the actual swipe detection. watch through the video again its just and actor that uses a displays text behavior to display left when the game.swipedirection = 2 or right when game.swipedirection = 1

Ah, it's a sophisticated Blanka? Didn't notice that. How he's changed. I still have fond memories of him from SF2 arcade. Being the younger kid at the time, it was always satisfying to beat the older kids with him and for them to claim it was just luck. The SFX made that game.

@sevi17 the search on this site isn't the best. You can use google if you put site:gamesalad.com jump
