Hi Guys,

I have a project which was shelved a while ago which I was thinking of reviving. The game was originally designed to be a multiplayer, openfeint enabled racing game but the developer let me down (long story).

I am thinking of having it created in Gamesalad and therefore the mechanics might need to be re-thought.

A lot of the graphics are done but I will be going through and refreshing them for GS.

I am looking for a developer to work with to do the building side of the game. Obviously my first choices would be TSB, Firemaple, Utopian or QuantumSheep but I understand that you guys might be busy on your own projects. An ideal partner would have more than 3 games on the app store, have a pro licence and eager to create something of a high standard and not a rush job.

THE GAME: http://dannyrapids.com
The game is called 'Danny Rapids: Extreme River Barrel Racing' and is a cartoon racing game.

Danny must paddle down 10 world rivers collecting gems, falling down waterfalls, avoiding rocks, whirlpools etc

The game would probably suit iPad better but current graphics are for iPhone (so I will to re-save)

Please see the website - http://dannyrapids.com and check the ABOUT page for a couple of screenshots and a VIDEO.

ISSUES:
http://dannyrapids.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/LEVEL1-London-bg.png

The levels were design to be sliced up into 1000x1000 parts and used as background images however recently I have discovered that using 10 x 1000x1000 images will slow the game down.

A suitable partner will need to work with me to solve this issue and see if there is anyway we can make a game that uses 'most' of the graphics.

Let me know if you are interested and what you would suggest: info@debugdesign.com

I think it will be good to get a GS game working with basic blocks and circles before we drop all the graphics in.

Assets will be shared with the chosen partner via dropbox.
Profit share will be 50/50 but for that you will be responsible for building and testing. Your logo can be added to the splash screen and name in the credits. (we can outline the details via email)

Final binary will be uploaded by debugdesign

DO you have a time line for this? I would be interested but could not devote myself full time to this until July. I could begin working on it part time sooner.

Hi Sci... I'm in no rush so the time line is flexible... Part time until July is cool with me.

Heh... I didn't make the list. Not an issue really though. I usually point GameSalad freelance work to my Textbook.

Why aren't you doing this yourself?

Did you try using the change image behavior?

    Two tiles... each 512x1024...
    They follow the camera
When a tile is out of range, it changes image and position to the front of the next tile. So, only two big actors are ever used.

Invisible actors can be placed throughout the scene for collision detection.

Great to see this sort of proposition.

Though I reckon you should go it alone since I reckon you've got the needed ability, though to be fair it takes so much time doing the graphics and the GameSalad logic and testing.

Wish I could offer my services as I always love the look of your graphics that go into other peoples games, but too busy doing the whole family, work, little bit of GameSalad balance.

    Good luck with it.

Thanks for the replies so far, I will get back to you all very soon.

I would love to do it myself but I have very little time and what time I do have I need to finish Eskimo Joe AND do graphics for this game...

If I had to code it as well, I think the output would be sloppy and rushed
