its okay, ill take your work for it haha

you should know theres 2 free ones, one by tshirt one by codemoneky, and there very well known.

they also have alot more variations, can choose between the joystick setup and what it controls, one has dual joysticks as well, and codemonkeys has a thread and page in the wiki explaining how to make it.

so this isnt something i would try to sell lol, just letting you know that

There is also a PAID joystick template by at least one other well know and respected member of the GS community. I just re-read the thread on that one and there was not one negative comment. By anybody. So why should SkyMaple be treated any differently?

Here's another example: CoverFlow. There are free tutorials on how to make it, and even free templates anyone can have and use. But that hasn't stopped at LEAST two well know, well-respected GS community members from selling their own templates as well. And everyone raved about the made-for-sale templates and how great they are.

There's sure a lot of disparity going on surrounding who can sell what (and whether you'll be blasted or loved for doing so).

SkyMaple, you should feel free to sell any work you uniquely code.

if i would have seen the other persons, i would have said the same thing. and im not treating him any different, i just helped with with a accelrerometer problem, i have no problems with him. 2nd this looked exaclty like a free one thats why i said something. once he said he made it hiimself i never said not to sell it, i just gave him a heads up and said you might not want to sell it. hes free to do whateevr he wants and he knows that.

I completely agree with being willing to help people, and I'm certain my comment didn't suggest that I feel otherwise. My comment only spoke to treating everyone the same.

he hasnt been treated any differently. like i said i would have said that to anyone who did that. about openflow, the other covreflow templates have alot more content and feauters from the free one, also they came out a day apart so the makers werent aware of each other. this is a year after codemonkeys and has alot less. no need for anyone to get upset haha as i said before this tempalte looks like codemonkeys with a change thats why i first said something. when he said he coded it himself i never said dont sell, i said you might not want to. just trying to help him out, and help his rep. great job to skymaple for doing this all on your own. im just saying im sure a bunch of people would be extremely pissed if they bought this then found the free one with tons more.

If i were to ever make a template to sell and there was one fore free with alot more content, i would hope to god someoen would let me know so i wouldnt look lazy trying to make money on something thats shown for free

Here are a couple of resources - there's more out there but these'll get you started.
    "four controls template" by utopiangames.

This is a mod of CodeMonkeys joystick - the joystick will be placed wherever you touch on the screen. Right Click(Option+Click) on the button, and download Linked file. If I remember right, once downloaded you replace ".game" with ".zip" to the file name so that you can extract the file.

From now on I will ask before I post.

I guess people might want to buy this if they are to lazy to do it themselves, haha.

I feel really bad about the whole thing...

Seriously SkyMaple, you don't need to ask before you post, and you don't need to apologize for anything. You did nothing wrong and in no way, shape, or form should you feel bad!

+1 do NOT feel bad and do NOT ask permisiion to post lol, i was just letting you know, so you dont get no angry emails if u decide to sell. Im not like the other peopel that are like ahhh f you my ways right ect ect ect. Were just having an adult conversaiotn or debate if you would have it, like civilized people. In no way, shape, or form do i have any problems with you or what you do!

Just remeeber if your gonna act liek a professional and sell stuff, you just have to be ready to take pro criticizm.

good luck to all you do in the future!
