GameSalad for Windows?

Hi! I am, unfortunately, too poor to afford a mac (and if I scraped enough together to buy an el'cheapo one - I'd get smacked by the missus).... but I really want to begin making games for the iPhone and GameSalad just looked.. WOW!
...
... until I found out it is only for Mac. Any chance for a Windows (7) version?
PS. Why doesn't this forum have a search function? I'm sure this question has probably been asked before...

There is a search function - magnifier next to the GameSalad logo.
"When will GameSalad Creator be available for Windows?
We've always had a great relationship with Apple and could not be more pleased with a development environment than that provided by Apple products. We want GameSalad to be the best it can be, and that starts with making it the best development tool available on Apple hardware. "
While this indicates that the creators of GameSalad really like Apples, it does not completely imply that there will never be a Windows version.
Im pretty sure its one of the behind the scenes top priorites for the investors. Theres infinately more PCs out there than there are Macs, and with Android stated as a target in the Roadmap, it shows that theres already pressure to open up the software to a much wider user base.
From an investor point of view, GameSalad on Windows would be a huge boost to sales... and a massive expansion of the user base.
The investors are going to want GameSalad available on as many machines/OS as possible, and deploying to as wide a variety of devices as they can manage.
I hope to hell that they ditch the Free pricing though, and have a minimum entry price. Just think of the amount of crapware coming through GameSalad once the userbase expands 10x its current size....
Pretty scary!...
Just to play on the iOS App Store, if they get in to Android that'll be a different story.
Search for tony osx 86 on google for guidelines:)
I'll be getting a real Mac from work soon though!!!:)
I see exactly where you are coming from. I currently do not own a Mac but when I saw Gamesalad, I too was like Wow!
Solution wise, Hackintosh is second only to purchasing the real thing. Running on it's own is difficult, but if you have a powerful enough PC, you can run OS X as a Virtual Machine inside Windows. This is where I am at and it works great! You don't have to install a load of drivers to get the Internet working for starters never mind Kernel Panic. Setting it up takes about 15 - 30 mins.
If you are interested, email me at tellmeurkidding[at]gmail[dot]com and I will be glad to help you out :-)
Now before getting a REAL macbook pro I had a hackintosh running on a netbook with a 1.6 Ghz atom processor and only 1 gig of ram. Again Power is not everything.
My real point here is everyone is going to have different results with a hackintosh on everything from installing MacOSX to publishing to the AppStore. an honestly I don't think this is the place to discuss Hackintosh's. there are tons of forums for hackintoshs discuss it there.
It's a violation of MacOSX licensing agreement to install OSX on anything that is not an apple product so we really shouldn't be discussing how to break apples rules (much less the fact that most of the hackintoshs likely don't have valid non pirated versions of osx anyway) when we are all relying on apple for income from our apps.
go to http://www.mymacnetbook.com/compatibility-chart/ to see if your computer is capable or running mac.
There are so many other things the devs could do with that time. I bought a used Mac from eBay, and would recommend it if you've got the $.
