Hey all! I haven't posted in a while. But I've still been making games.... and my next game will be sweet, you physics puzzlers will love it.

Anyway, recently I went to Chicago. I'm from the country, so the city is HUGE to me. I had recently gotten an iPhone 4. I went to the city, and I was sitting on a bench on the street, and I was talking to a couple of my friends that were with me. I had my phone out looking around on the maps. We were talking, and then this guy comes up, and pushes my friend out of the way, grabs my iPhone, and goes away with it! I was shocked! I wasn't going to chase him because you never know what kind of weapon someone is carrying, and I figured it wasn't worth it. I got the phone deactivated, and there was a passcode lock on it, and it comes up after 5 minutes of no use.

Anyway Moral of the story: ALWAYS INSTALL FIND MY IPHONE!
If you have it installed, the Police can find it, and you can erase all of the data. Its free so Install it. So if you don't have it, get it now! Your phone will get stolen when you least expect it.

Now I'm even more driven to make a killer game to get another iPhone! :-)

Anyone else have similar experiences?

Hey CTM, very sorry this happened to you :( I absolutely love the Find My iPhone app. While I have never had to use it, and I pray I never do, I know it will be very handy if necessary. Hopefully others can learn from this.

A day late and $80 short for my wife as she lost her 3GS and 2 weeks earlier she took off the passcode Her comment "the lock was inconvenient "
    I picked up a used 1 for $80
Find my iPhone now set on 5 devices and it works all the way down to 3G model without sim

I recently watched a show about gangs, and chicago was one of the highest rated for crime, gangs, and mafia sorts of things. I am NEVER going there.

I went to chicago when I was like 15. was set free on the streets for a day and had a blast. But its like any other big city there are the shopping/touristy areas they police the hell out of the keep relatively safe and then there is the rest of the city that you prob don't want to go to unless you already live there.

sucks what happened though cow tech. sorry man

Yeah, I do have to say that it is an incredible city. I had a blast. I took it as a great learning experience. I very much enjoyed our time in Chicago. Besides the robbery, we went to many museums, zoos, and we went up the Willis(Sears) tower. Its a great city, but you just gotta remember that everyone isn't as trustworthy as small towns in the country.

Wow man, I'm sorry that happened to you, but it's good to hear that you had a nice trip beyond the robbery.
