Close Game

How do you end a game and have it close. I didn't see a behavior for that. Thanks!

    you can't close the app within gamesalad controls. The user has to close the app

    Yes, you cant. I was pursuing that but I had no luck.
    I created some rules to spawn actors like crazy. Since Gs does not provide the way to close an app, I was trying to at certain point make the app crash by the excessive amount of spawning actors but It was not instantaneous or consistent.

    Well I have an "Exit Game" window with a check mark and a cancel button inside a pause menu. The cancel button works fine because it just unpauses the game returning you to the previous menu. But not sure what behavior to apply to the check mark to exit... right now "Reset Game" is assigned to it. Angry Birds does this close app window as well. Thanks.

    I dont see apple allowing the app through if you have built in a "crash" to close your app.

    GameSalad just needs to have an option that enables or disables multitasking

    Umm...the home buttton? I've never seen an app the had a quit button--not sure why you'd need one either. Maybe if you told us why, we could help--come up with a solution.

    I dont know about jason but in my case, I was approached by some people to create an app for them. In this app there is a release of liability form that you either accept or decline. They wanted that if someone declines there would be an Image saying "we understand your decision of not participating in this experiment, have a nice day"
    and after3 seconds they want the app to close itself. I tried to find the way to overload the app so it will close and I did it but not the way I wanted. It took at least 5 seconds to close, some times more also it varies in the different devices. I was looking to make it instantaneous and I couldn't. They didn't mind and told me to continue the app without it.
    The way I tried was like this:
    I created an actor "The Spawner" and every .01 seconds it was going to spawn like a 100 actors called "The spawned" Each of this actors were going to spawn like a 100 actors "the spawner" Plus to add more weight each of the 2 actor move to a random direction. That was my approach to it.

    You could easily do that if you are loading large images in those actors. Like 100 different 960x640 images would crash it in a heartbeat. but still I don't think apple would allow it because it would register as a crash. And who wants to add the file size of 960x640 to their app? This is just not something GameSalad can do right now.
