Help loading updated app to app store

edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
I've just done 1.1 of my latest app. When I use the Application Loader, I get these two messages:

1. This bundle is invalid. The key CFBundleVersion in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously uploaded version.

2. This bundle is invalid. The key CFBundleShortVersionString in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously uploaded version.

Any ideas?

I'm worried about deleting the original provisioning profiles that are tied to 1.0 version.

Have you logged into iTunes Connect and gone through the "Add Version" for your app?

PS you don't need to touch the profiles for updates

Did do. Status is "waiting for upload".

Then make sure the version number you gave in iTunesConnect and the version number you have inside GS Creator when you publish match exactly.

    Sorted now. Thanks, y'all.

Along these lines, I've been wondering.

How do you handle the players save data when updating your app? Does updating your app not destroy and replace all existing files on the users device?

So all Saved Attributes are left alone? Thats easy enough. Thanks!

Make sure you don't change the load/save keys though. Otherwise, the user data from the previous version will not be accessible.

Okay I have this same issue - keeps telling me that the "Bundle is invalid - file must contain a higher version of the previously uploaded version"

It is. So whats the issue?.

Previous version is 1.1. I've upped it to 2.0 (did the old "enter" after putting in the Version number in GS) and even checked the downloaded file from GS - says its 2.0 in the info plist. What else can be done? (besides contacting Apple that is)

I am having similar problems, but cannot remember what version I typed in to the GS creator. How do I check?

I had this problem before, whether the same fix will still work I'm not sure,

    *OLD FIX*

When you change the version number when publishing with GameSalad, type in the new version number (what ever you like)... e.g. version: 201 and make sure you press 'ENTER' otherwise it wont work.

Yes, as stated, I did do that. And the fact that the downloaded file from GS has the proper version in it so I 'm thinking this isn't a GS issue per say - checking the developers forums and see others with the problem - will report back if I find anything.

Figured it out. I have 3 versions of the same game in my GS Profile - One was a pre GS9 version, So it won't work and not sure what the difference was between the other 2 were but obviously one was an issue. I chose the other this time and it worked fine.

Really with wish could manage these in GS better as there doesn't seem to be a way to delete ones you don't want. My advice to anyone in the same situation - update your GOOD version with a different icon so there's less confusion. Hope this helps others.
