Resized scene now actor isn't working properly

So I resized the scenes to 640 x 960, and now my main character is not working properly.
When you click him he goes flying off. before it was supposed to be straight up, and now he goes off to the side. Also he is no longer tappable, but for some reason the "tap" area is right on the side of the screen.
Iv tried changing attributes of other things, and replacing the actor but to no luck.
Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone.

Does you player move into the expanded area or is the expanded area just dead space for offscreen stuff?
The rules I have got on it are
ON touch pressed - Play sound - Animate - OTHERWISE On touch released - Timer 0.5 sec, move to Y of 800, speed 500 relative to scene. Animate - Timer 0.4 sec, Play sound - Accelerate, Direction 270 Acceleration 80, Relative to scene.
If actor overlaps or collides with an invisible actor above scene - Play Sound - Destroy.
At this point another actor takes over and goes downwards. This all worked perfectly before I changed the scene to 640 x 960. GS seems to think the actor is more to the right than it actually is.
Are you changing only the scene size and not the camera size attributes?
Are you testing an iPhone game on an iPad?
Did you switch the Autorotate attributes correctly?
I dont know to the first question. I changed both scene and camera, testing for iphone and ipod not ipad.
What autorotate attributes? I don't know what that is I'm new at GS!
