Oh My Goodness! This Is a life saver.

Combine this with ImageOptim and your game size will be cut 10 fold... Okay maybe not that much, but I just made just took all of my sound files (19 files, 12 of which are 30+ seconds) from 2.4mb to 1.1mb with almost no quality loss.

In short, GRAB THEM.

Its really easy. Just drag and drop your sound files. Choose the destination folder. Choose the output format (can be the same). Then go to Encoder Options and play around with the Bitrate settings.

You've not posted a link to anything but imageOptim.

Update: I keep playing around, and made my settings as such .mp3 > Variable Bitrate > Minimum Bitrate 16 > Maximum Bitrate 16 > Quality 9 (Lowest)

The result was a file 3 times as small (2.4mb to 800kb for all sounds), and there was very little sound quality loss. It still sound great on my iPod.

You can half it again by doubling the speed/pitch in Audacity and then halving pitch in GS. Crude but effective if you are still happy with the sound quality.
